Healing Beyond Food: Pharmacotherapy for Anorexia Nervosa in Adults
About the Speaker:
We are honored to welcome Dr. Gryan Garcia, an Associate Professor at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Graduate Nursing. A respected clinician, educator, and researcher, Dr. Garcia has made significant contributions to psychiatric nursing, psychopharmacology, and physiological research.
Dr. Garcia is the architect of the Garcia Adaptive Equilibrium Theory (GAET)—a pioneering nursing theory that reconceptualizes mental health as a continuous equilibrium rather than a linear progression. His research spans psychopharmacology, physiological biomarkers of depression, and advanced psychiatric interventions, shaping both academic discourse and frontline clinical practice.
This lecture will explore the latest evidence-based pharmacological treatments for anorexia nervosa in adults, providing valuable insights into innovative therapeutic approaches beyond nutritional rehabilitation.
